Magic Wand

Dear Beauties,
                      It has been a really really long time since my last blog but again many thanks to my other half 'Ching' :) cause as usual she make it a point to connect with you all and  stays in touch sharing our ideas from time to time to the blogging world.

Writing has always been my passion and even though I get lazy at times, it always give me immense peace and a great satisfaction once I take my pen and a paper to write.  (I always write it in a book first and then type it later even when I upload my post :D).

Today I want to share you a poem called 'MAGIC WAND'  and I wrote it ten years back during my teenage days.  The poem always reminds me of how much I believe in magic and it still does and continues to take me to my own 'fairyland' world.  I hope you all liked it and as I always say ' it brings a big smile to my face'. :D :D.  Blessed week ahead!

                                             Magic Wand 

If I get a Magic Wand

I would go back to the days

When Santa Claus was so real to me,

That I can feel him during every X-Mas

Even though I never saw him,

there was never a thought or even a doubt

to question that he is unreal.

That is what I want to call as ' Purity'.

If I get a Magic Wand

I would want to go back to the days

When we can feel the excitement and happiness after pain

At the time when the tooth decays and fall off

Just to make a wish for the future,

Imagining it to have come true.

According to me is 'Believing'.

If I get a Magic Wand

I would want to go back to the days

when I felt like a Princess

for owning few barbie dolls

Dancing and singing along with them

wearing my mom's dresses and her fancy shoes

Wishing to grow old soon

for owning everything of hers

'Fantasy' can be fitted perfectly.

If I get a Magic Wand

A choice to wish only for the present

I would want to diminish inequality,

to see the beauty of every individual.

To bring more of love and less of lust

Cause love is always proven to be patient and kind.

To remove the existence of so called 'Old Aged Home'.

Sprinkle it with more purity, trust and fantasy

Above all, to be our true-self and live like a normal being.

Unfortunately this is ' Reality'.

Leather - The New Skin

Dear Beauties,
                     Who doesn't love Leather? It is the most undying trend for every season and it goes along with any outfit.  It is one of the most essential in every girl’s wardrobe.  Believe me with this; whether you want to look fierce, strong, sophisticated or simply chic with casual, it will never make you go wrong be it a jacket, dress, skirt, pants, shoes or accessories.  Biker leather jacket is in my wish list to buy before this months end and hopefully I get to own it soon :D.

Another Day

Hellow Hellow :)
                         So its been a really long time again.  So many things have happened in our lives, the good and the bad ones but let's not forget to never regret for something that have made you smile once.  I have a good news which I would like to share with you all.  The reason me being not posting regularly was because I got a new job as a life style writer for a magazine (Eclectic) .  It is a job I always wish to become and what I love doing the most.  Wish me luck and I'm looking forward to give my best :) .  So that was a small tit bits about me and my life.

In today's post , I wanted to share my love for monochrome and suiting up has lately been one of my favourite.  Although corporate world is the first thing that comes to our mind when we think about suiting up, what we don't realise is, it can be effortlessly sophisticated and chic.  You can try this trend using bold colours, metallic, florals etc in different length (shorts, quarter or full pant) instead of opting for the regular full length.  Also just to give a bit of oomph to the outfit, you can try wearing the blazer out of arms or just hang it on one side of the shoulder.  Trust me, suiting up can be a lot of fun and at the same time you will grab everybody's attention for your style.  So beauties Suit Up :)

Knit One Purl One

Spring is creeping in and winter's almost gone. There's so many things to love about winter. I love the chilly weather. The tea by the fire and if course all the woollens we pile up on. I love knit wear. Its always fascinated me how our mothers and grandmothers wind the humble ball of wool into an individual creation of their own. So, I finally decided to give knitting a try. Now I know I'm just supposed to post about bakes, but why limit ourselves to just a few things in life,eh?

I was taught to knit and purl when I was 8 by my Dad. Weird? I know, but there was nothing my Dad couldn't do and Knitting was one of them.

So just recently, I was gifted a rather cute book on knitting by my eldest sister and I just had to try it out!!

The illustrations were so cute and super easy to understand....

: There were guidelines to basic knitting, with very easy to follow steps:

And after having learnt basic knit and purl technique, you could learn how to read knitting patterns which are vital to knitting almost about anything.

In addition to the book, the kit also included this cute knitting box where one could save their knitting stuff like needles and yarn and stuff...

Once you had mastered the basics, you could follow instructions to knitting cute soft toys like this:

 

I chose to knit the rabbit and the end result was supposed to look like this:

Et Voila! This is how my first ever knit work turned out to be:

Isn't he cute? Does resemble the one on the book, or what do you think?

But I must admit I'm very happy and proud of myself after knitting this. Never in my dreams did I imagine I could do this. Had been knitting incomplete mufflers till now.... :)

One thing's for sure, that if you put your mind to it, you can do anything!

We Can't Stop!!

Dear Beauties,
                       How was your weekend?  Well mine was great, spending time with the people that I truly adore and doing what we love the most - Eating Out and Getting decked up :P.  I have worn an Aztec print high waist pant with a black crop top and a shimmering peep toe as my outfit for the day.  And I can't stop drooling over Tse's knee length boots the entire time :).  Also let me introduce you to my other Bff  'SHAN' who of late have always made an impression with his fashion sense.

Aztec print has become a style quotient and this print have done justice to make us fall in love with her all the more.  The daring colour combination of geometric lines have an amazing way to charm yourself and make it worth the wear.  It is so in trend for this season be it a high-waist Pant/ skirts, accessories, shoes, bikinis.  Don't miss out on owning one for yourself.

P.S - This print is difficult to pull it off due to its bright and daring prints.  A tip from my side would be to keep the other outfit as simple as possible, avoid many colour combinations and not to exaggerate the accessories.
